Hi, it's me with a "Hello" from Mrs. Colonial, your favorite old house lady. I'm very well thank you, HOW ARE YOU?

I'm back and I miss you, "faithful farmers". I'm hoping to reconnect after these last several years, or maybe connect for the first time, cause as Sandy always said, "House love it real", and I'm here to both give it and receive it.
I have so much to tell you . . . by the way, my kitchen says "hello".

The old "Farmometer" is steadily stuck on AMAZING; I'm still in love with my hunky new man of steel at the top of the hill; and my new life up here amongst these gracious acres is grand!
Sandy and I had a heart-to-heartpine the other day and we've decided to get back to what we love: sending out our joy for everything homes and gardens, design & DIY, recipes, and the happenings up here on these gracious acres. Our hope is to bring you a little joy and offer a respite from the chaos and negativity seemingly bountiful in the world today.
For those of you who may be new here, Sandy stumbled upon me back in 2016 and instantly fell in love. She found herself exceptionally inspired to reimagine my dilapidated interior and exterior, so she and the mister bought me. The renovation to transform me was excruciating but we finally wrapped it up at the end of 2020, and we've been living together amongst the bliss of beautiful acres and country style living ever since. After the renovation, Sandy tip-towed away a bit and focused on her interior design business where she was able to design and install some really great projects. While she absolutely loved it, she found herself stressed out from all the challenges of working in a difficult industry. She's planning to continue working on a few special client projects if/when they come her way, but her main focus is to get back to what she truly loves to do: slow down, continue to establish and transform home with me, immerse herself in the gardens and the animals that abound, dream up new bites, exercise her creative side while showcasing new projects, for both the house and garden, DIYing, creatively write, and of course, share it all with you. These are the golden years people, and we're here for it!

Sandy was already thinking about scrapping everything to start anew but wasn't quite sure what or how she was going to do it. Nothing was feeling right, almost forced, and not joyous. While deep in thought about this, two different prior subscribers reached out in the same week to say how much they missed hearing from us and wanted to keep in touch. Their heartwarming messages meant so much to Sandy. We took that as a sign and suddenly she knew exactly what she wanted us to do - establish "Mrs. Colonial's Home & Garden Chronicles" - and have a homecoming of sorts.
Together, we're really looking forward to reconnecting with all of our old friends here in blog and social media land, and picking up new friends along the way. ARE YOU IN?
