Happy Sunday!

It's been so nice reconnecting with many of you since our first new post last Sunday. We're so happy you're still on team Mrs. Colonial. We have some great new projects incoming - let's review the line-up.

Line-up of new projects in-coming - let's review the line-up.

If you were with us in 2018, you may remember bees had taken up residence in one of the columns at my portico. The contractor at the time hired a professional to come out and remove the bees.

Once the bees were removed, the column was sealed up and repainted and we were assured they were gone for good - no way they could get back in. Well, they're back and back in a really big way. Sandy is planning to give me a beautiful new coat of paint on my exterior and the bees have got to go before the painting crew shows up. This week we'll bring you up to speed in IG stories and show you what we find in the column and where the bees are going.

Next up, it's like we're back in the renovation days all over again with heavy equipment rolling in. This time we're dreaming and scheming about a new outdoor entertainment area. Do you remember my boyfriend, the brand new hunky man of steel Sandy designed and had built up here on my hill?

Taj Ma Garage at Rock Haven Farm

The new outdoor space is going in behind him. The location is challenging terrain so we're working on the fly and designing as we go. What we'll end up with is uncertain, but Sandy assures me it's going to be beautiful. She'll explain more about this new space this coming week.

Apparently, there are going to be some of these trees in the new space.

And she gave the photo below to her co-creater as inspiration for the new space.

My house cousin, the Lake House at Paradise Cove, is getting a refresh. I won't be able to join Sandy on this one, well for obvious reasons like I can't travel, haha, so she'll report back and give me all the beautiful details.

Curated Room Ensemble - Lakehouse Den-Media Room at Mrs. Colonial

Sandy's been busy getting some of our Curated Room Ensembles put up on the website (way more to come) and one of them is going to be installed in the next few weeks. We're waiting for the electrician and some of the furniture pieces to arrive and then Sandy will get started doing her magic in the media/den space at the lake house. I think she's headed up there this week. I'll ask her to give you a little glimpse into the space as it looks now, WARNING, she tells me it's torn apart. If you'd like to see more of this Curated Room Ensemble and get links to the furniture and decor you can see it HERE.

Another project in the works is the design and installation of a new pergola ATTACHED TO ME, YES ME! I'm so excited. I absolutely love it when people enjoy my spaces, all of them and often! The Mister makes fun of Sandy and calls her the chair lady because she loves making seating areas, but I'm so here for it. Go Sandy! I think she's only in the design phase on this one but it should get under way in the next couple of months. I hear she's going to build it herself. You go DIY lover!

So that's it for now my friends, a little insight into some of the projects on the horizon. I'm actually giddy about all of it cause this is what Sandy and I love to do, one house and one human making our world more beautiful. Come over and say hello on Instagram and get the deets as it all plays out @mrs.colonial.

I hope there is an awesome new week ahead for y'all! Thanks for being here.

Til next time . . .

Love from Mrs. Colonial and her human, Sandy
